Refund Policy

1. All Sales Are Final
All subscription fees paid to taxsaleproperty.ca are final and non-refundable. This includes both monthly and annual Investor Plan subscriptions, and applies to renewal charges as well as initial charges. By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree that payments are not refundable except as expressly set out in this policy or where a refund is required by applicable law.
2. Free Trials and Historical Verification Credits
Eligible new accounts may receive a 7-day Investor Plan trial. Stripe collects and authenticates your card to activate the free 7-day trial. No trial verification fee is charged. Your subscription renews automatically at the displayed rate after the trial unless you cancel beforehand. Prepaid cards are not accepted. Previously collected CAD $1 verification charges remain credited toward the first paid invoice, or remain on your Stripe customer account for a future eligible invoice if you cancel before conversion. Verification charges from rejected prepaid cards continue to be refunded automatically. Subscription charges after conversion remain subject to our Refund Policy.
3. Cancel Anytime to Stop Future Billing
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops all future billing. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period that you have already paid for; we do not provide prorated or partial-period refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.
4. Limited Exceptions
We will issue a subscription refund only where: (a) a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law; (b) there was a verified billing error on our part, such as a charge after cancellation caused by a fault in our systems; or (c) a technical fault on our systems caused a duplicate charge. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will investigate promptly.
5. One-Time Document Purchases
Purchased documents should appear in your authenticated account promptly after confirmed payment and no later than 24 hours unless checkout clearly states another delivery period. Contact support if a file is absent, corrupted, materially incomplete, or different from the document described. We will refund the document purchase if delivery does not occur within the promised period or if we cannot provide a working and materially correct replacement within two business days after receiving your documented request. A correctly supplied document is non-refundable, subject to rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
6. How to Cancel or Request a Review
To cancel, sign in and open your account settings, then select "Downgrade to Free" or use the "Manage" billing option. To ask us to review a charge you believe was made in error, email support@taxsaleproperty.ca from the email address on your account and include the approximate charge date and amount. We aim to respond within 3–5 business days.
7. Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated. This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.
8. Policy Changes
Material changes apply prospectively. We will send written notice to the account email at least 30 days before a change that increases a customer's obligations or reduces ours, identify the effective date, and explain any legally required right to reject the change and cancel without penalty. We will request affirmative consent where required by law.
